Detail‑oriented SAM Analyst responsible for optimizing software investments, ensuring license compliance, and collaborating with infrastructure, procurement, and finance teams using data analysis and reporting tools.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile software inventory across the enterprise to ensure accurate license counts.
- Monitor compliance with vendor agreements and internal policies, initiating remediation actions when variances are identified.
- Partner with Infrastructure, Procurement, and Finance teams to align software purchases with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Generate regular reports and dashboards (e.g., Power BI) to provide visibility into software spend, utilization, and compliance metrics.
- Develop and improve SAM processes following ITIL best practices, including request handling, incident tracking, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in software asset management, license compliance, or related IT governance roles.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data‑visualization tools such as Power BI.
- Understanding of procurement workflows and financial reconciliation for software spend.
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and ability to apply them to SAM processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities to work across multiple departments.
