Lead the design and delivery of secure, scalable cloud‑native solutions using AWS and microservices, driving architecture decisions and ensuring compliance with UK security standards.

About the role

Key Responsibilities

Architect and document end‑to‑end solutions for complex, high‑availability systems on AWS.
Define and enforce best practices for microservices, API design, and container orchestration.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Lead security reviews, ensuring adherence to UK SC clearance standards and data protection regulations.
Mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and promote continuous improvement in architecture and DevOps practices.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Software Architect or senior technical lead in cloud environments.
Deep knowledge of AWS services (ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM) and microservices patterns.
Strong background in DevOps tooling (CI/CD, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes).
Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Current UK Security Clearance (SC) or eligibility to obtain it.
