Devops Engineer
Lead Snowflake platform design, deployment, and optimization for a large banking client, leveraging SQL, cloud services, and ETL pipelines to deliver scalable data solutions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Snowflake data warehouses, ensuring high availability and performance for enterprise banking workloads.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, data models, and ETL pipelines to support analytics and reporting.
- Collaborate with data architects, developers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable Snowflake solutions.
- Implement security, governance, and compliance controls, including role-based access, masking, and data retention policies.
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and provide proactive performance tuning and capacity planning.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with Snowflake and SQL-based data warehousing.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and related services.
- Hands‑on experience with ETL/ELT tools and scripting (Python, Bash).
- Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance in a financial services context.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a contract engagement.
