Senior Snowflake Engineer responsible for designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and architectures using Snowflake, SnowSQL, and Spark in a cloud environment.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust Snowflake data models, schemas, and data pipelines to support analytics and reporting.
- Develop and maintain SnowSQL scripts and Spark jobs for data ingestion, transformation, and enrichment.
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to optimize query performance and storage costs.
- Define and enforce best practices for data governance, security, and compliance within Snowflake.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data workloads, ensuring high availability and reliability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience architecting and operating Snowflake solutions.
- Experience with performance tuning, cost optimization, and data governance in Snowflake.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to communicate complex concepts to cross‑functional teams.
