Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Snowflake data platforms, driving data sharing, real‑time pipelines, and secure access across cloud environments using SQL, Python, and modern data engineering practices.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and deploy scalable Snowflake solutions, including data sharing, Snowpipe, streams, tasks, and dynamic tables.
- Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines, data models, and lakehouse architectures to support analytics and reporting.
- Optimize query performance, manage time‑travel and fail‑safe features, and enforce security and access controls.
- Integrate Snowflake with cloud storage (S3, Blob, GCS), IAM, and networking components across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Snowflake architect or senior data engineer with deep knowledge of Snowflake features.
- Advanced SQL skills and proficiency in Python for data processing.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data integration tools such as Informatica, dbt, or similar.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT design, and lakehouse concepts.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
