Systems Engineer
Site Systems Engineer responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining secure Windows and Linux infrastructure, virtualization platforms, and network services across multiple sites, leveraging scripting and cloud technologies to support mission‑critical operations.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage Windows Server and Linux environments across geographically dispersed sites.
- Deploy and maintain virtualization solutions (VMware, Hyper‑V) to host mission‑critical applications.
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot network services, including VLANs, VPNs, and firewall rules.
- Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Bash) for provisioning, patching, and compliance reporting.
- Integrate on‑premise systems with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) for hybrid workloads and disaster recovery.
- Apply security hardening standards, conduct vulnerability assessments, and ensure continuous compliance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing Windows Server and Linux infrastructures in a multi‑site environment.
- Proficiency with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper‑V.
- Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls).
- Hands‑on scripting experience using PowerShell and Bash for automation.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS or Azure) and security best practices (hardening, patch management).
