Software Engineer
Experienced Civil Engineer to lead residential construction projects, overseeing site activities, coordinating with architects and contractors, preparing estimates and BOQs, and managing contracts while mentoring high‑performance teams.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all phases of residential construction projects from mobilization to handover, ensuring compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and external contractors to interpret project requirements and resolve technical issues on site.
- Prepare detailed project estimates, Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and Bill of Materials (BOM), and present them to senior management for approval.
- Negotiate contracts, rates, and schedules with subcontractors and suppliers to achieve cost‑effective solutions.
- Lead, train, and mentor site personnel, conducting performance appraisals and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Monitor contract administration, track progress against milestones, and ensure timely submission of reports and documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in residential construction.
- Proven ability to manage site operations, prepare BOQs, and control project budgets.
- Strong knowledge of construction codes, contract administration, and procurement processes.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for interfacing with architects, engineers, and external vendors.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in building and coaching high‑performance field teams.
