Software Engineer
Site Engineer responsible for setting out, dimensional control, and supervising subcontractors on a major infrastructure project, ensuring work aligns with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Perform setting‑out and dimensional control using modern survey equipment to verify alignment with design drawings.
- Review construction documents, raise RFIs, and propose buildability improvements to minimise on‑site issues.
- Supervise subcontractors and site operatives, ensuring safe, efficient execution and compliance with project tolerances.
- Maintain accurate project records, including as‑built drawings, QA documentation, and progress reports.
- Coordinate with design and engineering teams to resolve technical queries and support timely delivery of the scheme.
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Proven experience with surveying equipment and software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and quality assurance processes.
- Excellent communication skills for interfacing with subcontractors, designers, and project stakeholders.
- Ability to work on a high‑profile, fast‑paced infrastructure project and manage multiple site activities simultaneously.
