Software Engineer
Contract ServiceNow Developer specializing in Source-to-Pay solutions, responsible for designing, building, and integrating procurement workflows on the ServiceNow platform using JavaScript and REST APIs within an Agile environment.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and configure ServiceNow applications that automate the end‑to‑end Source‑to‑Pay lifecycle, including sourcing, vendor management, contract management, and financial integrations.
- Implement custom scripts, UI policies, business rules, and workflow activities using JavaScript and ServiceNow Studio.
- Integrate ServiceNow with external ERP, finance, and procurement systems via REST/SOAP APIs and middleware.
- Collaborate with business analysts and procurement SMEs to translate functional requirements into technical solutions and ensure alignment with S2P best practices.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, provide estimates, and deliver incremental releases in sprints.
- Perform unit testing, code reviews, and support post‑deployment troubleshooting and enhancements.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands‑on ServiceNow development experience, preferably with ITSM/ITOM modules.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, ServiceNow scripting (Business Rules, UI Policies, Script Includes) and REST/SOAP API integrations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Source‑to‑Pay processes and procurement best practices.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and using version‑control tools (e.g., Git).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
