ServiceNow Software Engineer - General Dynamics Information Technology

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain custom ServiceNow applications and modules to support secure communications and information sharing across the Five Eyes coalition.
• Implement and integrate RESTful APIs and web services to connect ServiceNow with external defense and intelligence systems.
• Configure and optimize IT Service Management (ITSM) processes, including incident, problem, and change management, to meet stringent security and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams using Agile methodologies to deliver iterative enhancements and ensure rapid response to mission‑critical requirements.
• Perform data modeling, scripting (JavaScript), and SQL queries to support reporting, dashboards, and analytics for operational visibility.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands‑on experience developing on the ServiceNow platform, including custom applications and workflow automation.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, ServiceNow scripting (Business Rules, UI Policies, Script Includes), and REST API integration.
• Strong understanding of ITSM processes and best practices, with experience configuring Incident, Problem, and Change Management modules.
• Experience working in Agile teams, using Scrum or Kanban, and delivering secure, high‑availability solutions.
• Clear communication skills and ability to obtain security clearances as required for defense‑related projects.
