Servicenow Developer
Senior ServiceNow developer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining complex ServiceNow applications, integrating with external systems via REST APIs, and supporting ITSM processes using JavaScript and SQL in an Agile environment.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and customize ServiceNow applications and modules, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management.
- Implement server‑side and client‑side JavaScript, UI policies, UI scripts, and business rules to meet functional requirements.
- Integrate ServiceNow with external healthcare and payment systems using REST/SOAP APIs and data imports/exports.
- Develop and optimize database queries (SQL) for reporting and performance tuning.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in an Agile setting to deliver high‑quality releases on schedule.
- Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship to junior developers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands‑on ServiceNow development experience, including ITSM and custom application development.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (both server‑side and client‑side) and ServiceNow scripting APIs.
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating ServiceNow with external systems.
- Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL for data manipulation and reporting.
- Proven ability to work in Agile/Scrum teams and communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
