Service Function Diagnostics Engineer - Ford Motor Company

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and validate security controls across the firmware and hardware lifecycle of BESS products.
• Conduct comprehensive penetration tests on embedded systems, identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to embed security best practices early in the development process.
• Develop and maintain security documentation, threat models, and risk assessments for product releases.
• Lead incident response activities and coordinate with cross‑functional teams to remediate findings.

Requirements

• Proven experience in firmware and hardware security engineering.
• Strong background in penetration testing of embedded devices.
• Knowledge of security standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001, NIST, IEC 62443) and secure development lifecycle.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid, cross‑functional environment.
