Software Engineer
Service Engineer responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining complex medical equipment and IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance across Providence’s healthcare network using Linux, Windows, and AWS technologies.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues on medical devices and IT systems across multiple facilities.
- Perform preventive maintenance, firmware updates, and configuration management to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement solutions, document procedures, and provide end‑user training.
- Monitor system performance, analyze logs, and proactively address potential failures using AWS monitoring tools.
- Maintain accurate service records, generate incident reports, and support audit requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in service engineering for medical or high‑availability IT equipment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, networking protocols, and troubleshooting tools.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, CloudWatch) and configuration management.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Valid technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent) preferred.
