Software Engineer
Service Engineer 2 responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting medical equipment across Providence’s network, ensuring uptime and compliance with health regulations while delivering exceptional customer support and detailed documentation.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on a wide range of medical devices and equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime for clinical operations.
- Document all service activities, including work orders, parts used, and compliance checks.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to understand equipment needs and provide training on proper usage.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and coordinate with vendors for timely procurement.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service engineer in a healthcare or medical device environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication and customer‑service orientation.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between sites as needed.
