Service Desk Engineer providing technical assistance to global users, diagnosing and resolving OS, application, network, and hardware issues using Windows, Linux, and MS Office tools.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first‑line technical support to global users via phone, email, and remote tools.
- Diagnose, research, and resolve issues related to Windows and Linux operating systems, MS Office applications, email, and network connectivity.
- Escalate complex problems to next‑level IT staff following established procedures.
- Maintain accurate incident records and contribute to knowledge base documentation.
- Participate in on‑call rotations and support after‑hours incidents as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a helpdesk or desktop support role.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team across multiple time zones.
