About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day operations and support for Windows Server environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Design, implement, and manage VMware vSphere clusters, including provisioning, monitoring, and capacity planning.
- Administer Microsoft System Center suite (Configuration Manager, Operations Manager, Virtual Machine Manager) to automate deployments and maintain compliance.
- Develop and execute cybersecurity controls, vulnerability assessments, and incident response procedures to protect mission‑critical systems.
- Write PowerShell scripts and use automation tools to streamline routine tasks, configuration management, and reporting.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate mission requirements into technical specifications and architecture designs.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing Windows Server and VMware infrastructure in a secure, government or defense environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft System Center components and PowerShell scripting for automation.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, RMF) and hands‑on experience implementing security controls.
- Ability to analyze complex requirements, produce detailed technical designs, and communicate solutions to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Active DoD security clearance or ability to obtain one.
