Embedded Systems Engineer
Lead the design and integration of advanced sensor hardware for autonomous ground vehicles, focusing on PCB layout, firmware, and system safety using C/C++ and ROS.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and prototype high‑performance sensor boards, ensuring compliance with automotive safety standards.
- Develop and debug embedded firmware in C/C++ for sensor integration and data acquisition.
- Collaborate with software and systems teams to integrate sensor data into the autonomous stack via ROS.
- Conduct rigorous testing, including environmental, vibration, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) assessments.
- Iterate designs based on field data, improving reliability and manufacturability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in sensor hardware design and PCB layout for automotive or robotics applications.
- Proficiency in C/C++ firmware development and ROS middleware.
- Strong understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN) and safety standards (ISO 26262).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment.
