Frontend Developer
Lead the design and delivery of enterprise‑grade web applications for a large freight rail technology platform, using React, TypeScript, and modern front‑end tooling while driving performance, scalability, and best practices.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain high‑performance, reusable UI components for platform and enterprise applications using React and TypeScript.
- Collaborate with product owners, designers, and backend teams to translate business requirements into clean, responsive web interfaces.
- Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and performance monitoring to ensure reliability and rapid delivery.
- Mentor junior engineers, enforce coding standards, and champion front‑end best practices across the organization.
- Optimize applications for speed, accessibility, and cross‑browser compatibility.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional front‑end development experience, with deep expertise in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
- Proven ability to design component libraries and work with modern build tools such as Webpack, Babel, and npm/yarn.
- Experience with CI/CD workflows, automated testing (Jest, Cypress), and version control (Git).
- Strong problem‑solving skills, ability to work independently, and a track record of delivering complex, enterprise‑scale web solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on inclusive teamwork and continuous improvement.
