About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end‑to‑end systems engineering effort for the W93 Trainer PRT, defining architecture, requirements, and verification strategies.
- Develop and maintain model‑based system representations (e.g., SysML, MBSE tools) to drive design decisions and traceability.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams—including software, hardware, and test engineers—to integrate C++/Python simulation components and ensure seamless system performance.
- Oversee test planning, execution, and analysis, translating results into design refinements and documentation.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical direction, fostering best practices in requirements management and risk mitigation.
Requirements
- Active DoD security clearance (Secret or higher) and eligibility to work on classified projects.
- 10+ years of systems engineering experience, preferably in defense or high‑technology R&D environments.
- Proficiency with model‑based systems engineering tools and methodologies (SysML, MBSE).
- Strong programming skills in C++ and Python for simulation and test automation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multidisciplinary projects from concept through delivery.
