About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain scalable Zendesk platform solutions, ensuring high availability and performance across global deployments.
- Design and develop custom integrations using RESTful APIs, webhooks, and middleware to connect Zendesk with internal systems and third‑party services.
- Implement automation workflows, scripting, and bots (Python/Node.js) to streamline ticket routing, data enrichment, and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical specifications, and deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
- Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) for Zendesk extensions, monitoring, and disaster recovery planning.
- Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in platform engineering with a focus on Zendesk or similar customer support platforms.
- Strong proficiency in API design, integration, and automation using Python or Node.js.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud services (AWS or GCP) and infrastructure as code tools.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, with a track record of delivering robust, scalable solutions.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
