Senior architect responsible for designing, deploying, and operating secure, highly‑available VMware Cloud Foundation SDDC platforms for mission‑critical banking workloads, leveraging NSX‑T, vSAN, vLCM and VMC on AWS.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement end‑to‑end VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) solutions that meet banking‑grade security, compliance, and availability requirements.
- Lead the deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of NSX‑T, vSAN, vLCM, and VLR across multi‑site SDDC environments.
- Integrate VMC on AWS services with on‑premises VCF to enable hybrid cloud workloads for core banking and payment systems.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, establishing best practices for monitoring, automation, and incident response using vRealize Operations.
- Collaborate with security and compliance stakeholders to ensure the platform adheres to regulatory standards and audit requirements.
Requirements
- 10+ years of IT infrastructure experience with at least 5 years focused on VMware SDDC technologies.
- Deep expertise in NSX‑T, vSAN, vLCM, VLR and vRealize Operations; hands‑on experience with VMC on AWS.
- Proven track record designing and operating highly available, secure environments for financial services or similarly regulated industries.
- Strong scripting/automation skills (PowerShell, Python, or similar) and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities to drive cross‑functional initiatives and mentor junior staff.
