Lead enterprise infrastructure initiatives, managing DB2 and mainframe environments, driving upgrades, troubleshooting, and ensuring 24/7 availability with robust change and disaster recovery processes.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and upgrade DB2 and associated middleware across mainframe and distributed platforms.
- Diagnose and resolve DB2 subsystem issues, customizing solutions to meet business needs.
- Coordinate change requests, incidents, and scheduling to minimize downtime.
- Lead Proofs of Concept for emerging technologies and evaluate their fit within the infrastructure.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and mainframe exercises to maintain business continuity.
- Support multiple concurrent projects, upgrades, and initiatives, often outside normal business hours.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with DB2 administration and mainframe environments.
- Strong knowledge of middleware integration and system customization.
- Proven ability to manage change, incidents, and scheduling in a high‑availability context.
- Hands‑on experience with disaster recovery planning and execution.
- Willingness to provide 24/7 on‑call support and work flexible hours.
