About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the thermal design and validation of high‑performance silicon and hardware platforms, ensuring compliance with performance, reliability, and manufacturability targets.
- Develop and maintain advanced CFD and thermal simulation models to predict heat dissipation, temperature gradients, and thermal stresses across multi‑layered silicon packages.
- Collaborate with silicon, packaging, and system teams to integrate thermal solutions into product roadmaps, providing actionable insights and design recommendations.
- Drive continuous improvement of thermal analysis workflows, tools, and best practices, mentoring junior engineers and fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Own the end‑to‑end thermal qualification process, from design intent through prototype testing and final validation, ensuring robust thermal performance in production.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in thermal engineering for semiconductor or high‑performance computing platforms.
- Proficiency in CFD tools (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, Star‑CCM+) and thermal simulation software.
- Deep understanding of silicon packaging, heat spreaders, and thermal interface materials.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex thermal data into clear design actions.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of guiding cross‑functional teams.
