About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead test planning, execution, and data analysis for the Army's Scalable Hypersonic (SHY) weapon system portfolio.
- Integrate SHY capabilities into command‑and‑control, mission command, and fire support processes across Army and joint echelons.
- Communicate system performance, limitations, and operational concepts to stakeholders, shaping concepts of operation and tactics.
- Develop and maintain models, simulations, and analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink) to support system validation and performance prediction.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams—including software, hardware, and warfighter experts—to ensure seamless system integration and readiness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in test and evaluation of high‑performance or hypersonic systems.
- Proficiency with systems engineering processes, C2 architecture, and model‑based simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink).
- Strong analytical and communication skills to translate technical data into actionable operational guidance.
- Eligibility for a security clearance and ability to work on‑site at Redstone Arsenal.
