Software Engineer
Lead the design and implementation of quantum simulation algorithms and software, leveraging C++, Python and HPC environments to advance research and prototype next‑generation quantum solutions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize quantum simulation algorithms and software prototypes.
- Implement high‑performance code in C++ and Python for large‑scale quantum‑chemistry and physics problems.
- Integrate and evaluate quantum SDKs (e.g., Qiskit, Cirq) and hardware back‑ends.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional research teams to translate scientific concepts into production‑ready solutions.
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and documentation for reproducible research.
Requirements
- PhD or equivalent experience in quantum physics, computational chemistry, computer science, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in C++ and Python, with experience in parallel programming (MPI/OpenMP) on Linux clusters.
- Hands‑on experience with quantum simulation libraries and familiarity with quantum hardware concepts.
- Proven ability to solve complex algorithmic problems and optimize code for HPC environments.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset for interdisciplinary research.
