Senior Technical Writer and Drafter - Taurus Engineering

Key Responsibilities

• Convert physical blueprints, redlines, and legacy CAD files into clean, production‑ready SolidWorks models and detailed drawings.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, assembly instructions, and work instructions that capture tribal knowledge and streamline production processes.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to ensure documentation accuracy and alignment with design intent.
• Establish and enforce a standardized documentation system, improving consistency and accessibility across the organization.
• Conduct interviews with supervisors and walk the production floor to gather insights and validate procedural accuracy.

Requirements

• Proven experience with SolidWorks and CAD drafting for manufacturing environments.
• Strong technical writing skills with a focus on clarity, precision, and user‑friendly documentation.
• Ability to translate complex engineering concepts into clear SOPs and assembly instructions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
