Software Engineer
Senior Technical Support Engineer responsible for diagnosing and resolving complex hardware and software issues for silicon design and simulation tools, leveraging Linux, Python, networking, and virtualization expertise to ensure customer success and product reliability.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve advanced technical issues reported by customers on silicon design, IP, and simulation platforms.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and QA teams to reproduce bugs, analyze root causes, and recommend permanent fixes.
- Develop and maintain automated scripts (Python) to streamline diagnostics, log collection, and performance monitoring.
- Provide expert guidance on system configuration, networking, and virtualization environments to optimize tool performance.
- Document solutions, update knowledge base articles, and conduct knowledge transfer sessions for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in technical support or engineering roles within the semiconductor or EDA industry.
- Strong proficiency with Linux operating systems, networking protocols, and virtualization technologies.
- Hands‑on experience scripting in Python and automating troubleshooting workflows.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and customer‑service skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
