Technical Manager
The Senior Technical Product Manager will lead the technology workstream for a large-scale Retail Banking Post Merger Integration (PMI) program in Kuwait. This role involves defining the technology roadmap, managing system integration, and ensuring seamless delivery across core banking, digital banking, APIs, infrastructure, and data migration. Senior Technical Product Manager – Banking Integration (10+ years experience) – Kuwait City, Kuwait (onsite)
We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Product Manager to lead the technology workstream for a large-scale Retail Banking Post Merger Integration (PMI) program. This role is based in Kuwait and requires extensive experience in retail banking mergers, integration management, and enterprise-scale technology transformation within regulated financial environments.
Key Responsibilities
Own and execute the end-to-end technology integration roadmap from discovery through post-merger stabilization.
Lead system integration activities across core banking platforms, digital channels, payment systems, and enterprise applications.
Define API integration strategies, system architecture, technical specifications, and integration standards.
Manage data migration activities including data mapping, cleansing, reconciliation, validation, and migration planning.
Coordinate with engineering teams, architects, infrastructure teams, technology vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of integration milestones.
Develop and maintain technical integration playbooks, implementation plans, runbooks, cutover plans, and rollback strategies.
Monitor system performance, application reliability, transaction integrity, and platform availability during migration and post-production support.
Manage product backlogs, sprint planning, release schedules, and Agile delivery using Jira and Confluence.
Ensure compliance with banking regulations, security standards, governance requirements, and data residency policies.
Identify technology risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans while ensuring minimal disruption to customers and business operations.
Present technology updates, project status, and risk assessments to senior leadership and Steering Committees.
Define and own the technology integration strategy aligned with merger objectives and enterprise architecture.
Lead integration of core banking systems, payment platforms, digital banking applications, and supporting infrastructure.
Drive end-to-end product lifecycle management using Agile and SDLC best practices.
Act as the primary liaison between business leaders, engineering teams, IT vendors, compliance, and legal stakeholders.
Ensure successful execution of data migration and validation with zero data loss.
Continuously improve system performance, reliability, and operational efficiency throughout the integration lifecycle.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 10 years of Project or Program Management experience.
Minimum 5 years of Retail Banking Post Merger Integration (PMI) or Banking Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) experience.
Proven hands-on experience delivering retail banking integration programs from Day 1 readiness through post-merger stabilization.
Experience establishing or operating an Integration Management Office (IMO).
Experience leading enterprise technology transformation initiatives within regulated banking environments.
Strong experience working with engineering teams, business stakeholders, and third-party technology vendors.
Proficiency in Product Management, Post Merger Integration (PMI), Retail Banking, and Banking Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A).
Expertise in Core Banking Platforms, API Integration, System Architecture, and Technology Roadmap Management.
Strong understanding of Enterprise Application Integration, Digital Banking, Data Migration, Data Mapping and Reconciliation.
Experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), Agile and Scrum methodologies, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and DevOps practices.
Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
Demonstrated skills in Stakeholder Management, Risk Management, Technical Documentation, and Integration Management Office (IMO) operations.
Strong understanding of Core Banking platforms such as Temenos T24, Oracle FLEXCUBE, Finacle, Mambu, Fiserv, or Jack Henry.
Experience with API design, REST services, middleware, and enterprise integration patterns.
Knowledge of payment systems including SWIFT, SEPA, ACH, RTP, and real-time payment schemes.
Experience with cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Strong understanding of data architecture, ETL processes, migration tools, and enterprise integration technologies.
Experience with monitoring system performance, availability, and production support.
Agile/SAFe certification (PMI-ACP or equivalent), TOGAF or ITIL certification preferred.
TOGAF, ITIL, or similar enterprise architecture and IT service management certifications are preferred.
English fluency is mandatory; Arabic language skills are preferred.
