About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain a low‑latency, high‑volume real‑time data platform supporting market‑critical services.
- Lead a cross‑functional engineering team, providing technical direction, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Design and implement microservice‑based solutions using Java and Apache Kafka, ensuring scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance.
- Drive cloud adoption and operational excellence on AWS, including CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and automated scaling.
- Collaborate with product owners, data scientists, and infrastructure teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 4 years in a technical lead or architect role.
- Strong expertise in Java development and event‑driven architectures using Apache Kafka.
- Hands‑on experience designing, deploying, and operating microservices in AWS (EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, CloudWatch, etc.).
- Proficiency with relational databases and SQL for high‑throughput data access.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence technical decisions, and deliver complex, mission‑critical systems.
