What You'll Do

Epic Games is looking for a Senior Technical Artist to focus on developing tools and workflows inside Unreal Editor for our art teams. In this role, you will work closely with artists, designers, and engineers to create efficient and intuitive solutions that empower content creators.

In this role, you will

• Develop and maintain tools, scripts, and plugins within Unreal Editor to improve art pipelines and workflows.
• Collaborate with art teams to identify their needs and develop solutions that address their challenges.
• Provide technical support and guidance to artists on best practices for content creation within Unreal Engine.
• Optimize art content for performance while maintaining visual fidelity.
• Create and maintain documentation for tools and workflows.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in game development and technical art.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Artist in the game development industry.
• Strong proficiency in Unreal Engine, including Blueprint visual scripting and experience with editor customization.
• Expertise in 3D content creation tools (e.g., Maya, Blender, ZBrush) and a deep understanding of art pipelines (modeling, texturing, rigging, animation).
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or C++.
• Demonstrated ability to develop tools and workflows that improve artist efficiency.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between art and engineering.
• A portfolio showcasing technical art contributions to shipped games or projects.
