About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical application engineering engagements with key industrial accounts across North America, translating customer requirements into solution designs.
- Demonstrate and validate monitoring and diagnostics features of the Digital Energy substation automation suite, including real‑time data acquisition, analytics, and fault detection.
- Collaborate with sales, product management, and field service teams to develop proof‑of‑concepts, technical proposals, and ROI analyses.
- Provide expert guidance on IEC 61850 communication, PLC integration, and HMI configuration to ensure seamless system deployment.
- Mentor regional application engineers and contribute to the development of best‑practice documentation and training materials.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 7+ years of experience in substation automation and monitoring solutions.
- Strong knowledge of IEC 61850, SCADA systems, and industrial communication protocols.
- Proficiency in Python and C++ for scripting, data analysis, and custom application development.
- Hands‑on experience with PLC programming, HMI design, and integration of diagnostic analytics.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a proven track record of supporting complex technical sales cycles.
