Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain animation systems and tools within Unreal Engine.
- Collaborate with animators and engineers to optimize animation pipelines and workflows.
- Create and implement advanced rigging and character setup solutions.
- Support motion capture integration and data processing.
- Work on facial animation systems and physics-based simulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical animation issues.
- Contribute to the overall technical art vision and strategy.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in technical animation or a related field.
- Expertise with Unreal Engine's animation tools and pipelines.
- Proficiency in Maya for rigging, skinning, and animation.
- Strong scripting skills in Python.
- Familiarity with C++ is a plus.
- Deep understanding of animation principles, character kinematics, and deformation.
- Experience with performance capture, facial animation, and physics simulation.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
