Lead the creation and technical optimization of high‑quality 3D animation assets for AAA games, driving efficient pipelines in Maya, Blender, Unity and Unreal Engine while collaborating closely with art and engineering teams.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust animation pipelines for 3D characters and environments across Unity and Unreal Engine projects.
- Create and refine high‑quality rigs, blend shapes, and procedural animation tools using Maya and Blender.
- Collaborate with artists, technical artists, and programmers to integrate animation assets, ensuring performance and visual fidelity.
- Develop and document best practices, scripts, and tools to streamline production workflows and reduce iteration time.
- Optimize animation data for real‑time engines, balancing quality with runtime constraints.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in technical animation for AAA games.
- Deep understanding of rigging, skinning, blend shapes, and procedural animation techniques.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and a portfolio demonstrating technical animation expertise.
