Senior Tableau Developer responsible for designing, building, and optimizing enterprise‑level Tableau dashboards, integrating data from PostgreSQL and MongoDB, and delivering actionable insights through advanced visual analytics.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance Tableau dashboards for enterprise users.
- Enhance existing reporting solutions by adding new visualizations, parameter actions, LOD expressions, and complex interactions.
- Write and optimize SQL queries against PostgreSQL databases and craft NoSQL queries for MongoDB to support data‑driven dashboards.
- Collaborate with data engineers and business stakeholders to define data models, ensure data quality, and translate business requirements into analytical solutions.
- Implement best practices for data governance, performance tuning, and documentation of Tableau assets.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience developing Tableau dashboards in a corporate environment.
- Strong proficiency with Tableau Desktop, including advanced features such as parameter actions, LOD calculations, and custom visualizations.
- Expertise in SQL querying, preferably with PostgreSQL, and experience querying NoSQL stores like MongoDB.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and analyze large, complex datasets to produce actionable insights.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
