Senior engineer responsible for securing and administering core mission‑critical applications and infrastructure, leveraging Linux, Windows Server, Active Directory, PowerShell automation, and VMware virtualization in high‑performance ISR and aviation environments.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain security hardening for Linux and Windows Server platforms supporting ISR and aviation systems.
- Administer core applications, including Active Directory, DNS, and virtualization environments (VMware), ensuring high availability and compliance.
- Develop and execute PowerShell and Bash automation scripts to streamline configuration management, patching, and incident response.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and remediation planning across networked systems.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to integrate security controls into C4ISR solutions and support certification processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience securing and administering Linux and Windows Server environments in mission‑critical or defense‑related settings.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, group policy, and identity management.
- Proficiency with PowerShell, Bash scripting, and automation tools for configuration and patch management.
- Hands‑on experience with VMware virtualization, including vSphere, vCenter, and VM security best practices.
- Understanding of network security concepts, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management frameworks.
