About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Mentor and guide engineering teams on system safety principles and best practices.
- Lead risk assessment and hazard analysis activities for combat system projects.
- Develop, maintain, and review technical safety documentation, reports, and compliance evidence.
- Coordinate system testing, validation, and verification to confirm safety requirements are met.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional delivery teams to integrate safety and environmental assessments into product development.
- Identify improvement opportunities and drive continuous safety performance enhancements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field with extensive experience in safety engineering.
- Proven expertise in risk assessment methodologies (e.g., FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis) and safety standards compliance.
- Strong background in reliability engineering and test/validation processes for defense or aerospace systems.
- Excellent technical writing skills for producing clear, comprehensive safety documentation.
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior engineers.
