About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of systems engineers across multiple projects, fostering technical excellence and career development.
- Define and enforce Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes, ensuring robust architecture, interface control, and requirements traceability.
- Collaborate with program managers, product owners, and cross‑functional stakeholders to translate mission objectives into actionable system designs.
- Drive Agile/ Scrum practices within the engineering organization to accelerate delivery while maintaining compliance with DoD acquisition and security requirements.
- Oversee risk identification, mitigation planning, and technical reviews (e.g., PDR, CDR) to guarantee schedule and performance targets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field; 10+ years of systems engineering experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven expertise in MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo, MagicDraw, SysML) and requirements management platforms (e.g., DOORS, Jama).
- Strong knowledge of DoD acquisition processes, security classification handling, and maintaining an active Secret clearance.
- Demonstrated ability to apply Agile methodologies to complex hardware‑software development programs.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision‑making skills in a fast‑paced aerospace environment.
