Senior Systems Engineer responsible for managing server hardware, SAN storage, and virtualized environments. Leads VMware, Active Directory, LDAP, DNS, NTP, and syslog support while delivering exceptional customer service to lab teams.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot physical server hardware and SAN storage arrays to ensure high availability.
- Administer VMware vSphere environments, including VM provisioning, resource allocation, and performance tuning.
- Configure and manage Active Directory, LDAP, DNS, NTP, and syslog services for lab and production systems.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for lab users, providing expert support and resolving complex technical issues.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement security best practices and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in systems administration with a focus on virtualization and storage.
- Proficient in VMware, Active Directory, and Linux server environments.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (DNS, NTP, LDAP) and syslog management.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer‑centric approach.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
