About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical investigations of degraded or anomalous undersea system performance and develop mitigation strategies.
- Define, model, and validate system architectures for towed, hull‑mounted, and other maritime sensor suites.
- Conduct trade studies, risk analyses, and performance assessments using tools such as MATLAB and simulation environments.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to produce interface control documents, requirements specifications, and verification plans.
- Support design reviews, test planning, and post‑test data analysis to ensure compliance with Navy standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field; 8+ years of systems engineering experience in maritime or defense applications.
- Proven expertise in undersea warfare concepts, sensor integration, and signal processing.
- Strong proficiency in MATLAB and C++ for modeling, simulation, and data analysis.
- Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS) and configuration control processes.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work within multidisciplinary, security‑cleared environments.
