Senior Systems Engineer with extensive aerospace experience, leading model‑based system architecture, requirements analysis, and integration using MATLAB, Simulink, and C++ to support Missile Defense Agency programs.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and verification of system architectures for missile defense projects using Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques.
- Define, capture, and manage requirements across the system lifecycle, ensuring traceability and compliance with stakeholder specifications.
- Develop and execute simulation models in MATLAB/Simulink to evaluate performance, conduct trade studies, and support design decisions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including hardware, software, and test engineers—to integrate subsystems and resolve technical issues.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering best practices in systems engineering and documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field; 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Proven expertise in MBSE tools and methodologies, with hands‑on experience in requirements management (e.g., DOORS, Jama).
- Strong proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, and C++ for modeling, simulation, and algorithm development.
- Demonstrated ability to work on complex, high‑stakes defense programs and communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Security clearance eligibility and willingness to obtain required clearances.
