Senior Systems Engineer SME leading design, implementation, and support of complex Windows and Linux infrastructures, virtualization, and AWS cloud solutions while providing expert guidance and automation using PowerShell and Python.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain hybrid Windows and Linux environments, including servers, storage, and networking components.
- Lead virtualization initiatives using VMware or Hyper‑V, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Architect and manage AWS cloud services, integrating on‑premises systems with cloud workloads.
- Develop automation scripts and tools in PowerShell and Python to streamline provisioning, configuration, and monitoring.
- Provide subject‑matter expertise, mentorship, and technical guidance to engineering teams and stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Windows Server and Linux system administration.
- Strong knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V) and cloud infrastructure (AWS).
- Proficiency in scripting languages, especially PowerShell and Python, for automation and orchestration.
- Solid understanding of network protocols, security best practices, and firewall management.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
