About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end‑to‑end integration of satellite payloads with launch vehicles, defining interface control documents and ensuring compliance with mission requirements.
- Develop and maintain system architecture models using Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools to support design, analysis, and verification activities.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams—including propulsion, structures, avionics, and mission operations—to resolve integration issues and mitigate risks.
- Conduct trade studies, performance analyses, and failure mode assessments to validate launch vehicle compatibility and mission success.
- Manage requirements flow‑down, traceability, and verification verification across the satellite‑launch vehicle interface lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in satellite and launch vehicle integration, preferably with Department of Defense or Space Force programs.
- Proficiency in MBSE tools (e.g., SysML, MagicDraw) and requirements management platforms (e.g., DOORS, Jama).
- Strong analytical skills with experience in trade studies, performance modeling, and risk assessment.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities to drive multidisciplinary collaboration.
