Systems Engineer
Senior Systems Engineer responsible for defining, analyzing, and verifying complex space system requirements using model‑based approaches, DOORS, and simulation tools to ensure mission success and compliance.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage system requirements throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring traceability and compliance with mission objectives.
- Create verification plans, test procedures, and validation strategies for hardware and software subsystems.
- Apply Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques and tools (e.g., SysML, MATLAB/Simulink) to model, simulate, and analyze system behavior.
- Maintain requirements data in IBM DOORS, performing impact analysis and configuration control.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—design, software, test, and integration—to resolve requirement gaps and verification issues.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers on best practices for requirements management and verification.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering with a focus on requirements development and verification for space or defense projects.
- Proficiency with IBM DOORS (or similar requirements management tools) and MBSE methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills using MATLAB/Simulink for modeling and simulation.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving abilities, and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
