Systems Engineer
Senior Systems Engineer responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining complex, secure infrastructure across Linux and Windows environments, leveraging virtualization, cloud services, and automation scripting to support critical national security missions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage high‑availability server and network architectures supporting mission‑critical applications.
- Lead virtualization initiatives using VMware or Hyper‑V to consolidate workloads and improve resource utilization.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python and PowerShell to streamline provisioning, configuration, and monitoring tasks.
- Integrate and operate cloud services (AWS or Azure) for hybrid deployments, ensuring compliance with security and performance standards.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to apply hardening guidelines, patch management, and incident response procedures.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering with deep expertise in Linux and Windows Server environments.
- Proven experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Strong scripting skills in Python and PowerShell for automation and orchestration.
- Solid understanding of networking, security best practices, and infrastructure monitoring tools.
- Clear communication and teamwork abilities to work with cross‑functional mission teams.
