About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of embedded real‑time systems for aerospace platforms.
- Develop and maintain C/C++ codebases on Linux‑based RTOS environments, ensuring performance, reliability, and safety compliance.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define system requirements, perform trade studies, and deliver technical solutions that meet DoD standards.
- Conduct rigorous testing, debugging, and validation of hardware‑software interfaces, including network protocols and security controls.
- Document design decisions, test procedures, and compliance evidence for certification and audit purposes.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in embedded systems engineering within aerospace or defense sectors.
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming, Linux kernel development, and real‑time operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, CAN, Ethernet) and secure communication practices.
- Demonstrated ability to work with DoD security clearance processes and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with multidisciplinary teams.
