Systems Engineer
Senior Systems Engineer leading Managed Services, designing and optimizing Microsoft 365, Azure, virtualization, networking and cybersecurity solutions while mentoring staff and managing client relationships.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Microsoft 365 and Azure environments for multiple clients.
- Lead virtualization and networking projects, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Act as the top technical escalation point, troubleshooting complex issues and providing guidance to junior engineers.
- Drive cybersecurity best practices, conduct risk assessments, and implement protective controls.
- Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with sales and account teams to deliver technical proposals and support client engagements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure, virtualization (Hyper‑V, VMware), and networking (LAN/WAN, VPN).
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and incident response.
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to mentor junior staff.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect or Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert are a plus.
