Senior Systems Engineer responsible for designing, integrating, and validating embedded radar systems for missile defense, leveraging C++, Linux, and model‑based development while ensuring compliance with DO‑178C and Agile processes.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, development, and integration of embedded software for missile‑defense radar platforms.
- Design, implement, and test signal‑processing algorithms in C++ on Linux‑based real‑time operating systems.
- Apply Model‑Based Design and simulation tools to verify system performance against stringent defense requirements.
- Ensure all software artifacts meet DO‑178C certification standards and maintain traceability throughout the lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional hardware, test, and program teams using Agile methodologies to deliver incremental capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of experience in radar or defense systems.
- Proficiency in C++ development for embedded Linux environments and experience with real‑time constraints.
- Hands‑on experience with radar signal processing, sensor integration, and model‑based development tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink).
- Knowledge of DO‑178C software assurance processes and ability to produce required documentation.
- U.S. citizenship with an active Secret clearance (or ability to obtain one) and eligibility for DoD security clearance.
