Systems Engineer
Senior Systems Engineer responsible for translating user needs and concept of operations into detailed system requirements, leading design efforts, conducting feasibility studies, and guiding architecture development for high‑impact defense programs.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high‑level architectures to produce clear, verifiable system requirement specifications.
- Lead design and development activities, ensuring alignment with mission objectives and compliance with applicable standards.
- Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate alternative solutions, providing technical guidance to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop and maintain model‑based system representations (e.g., SysML).
- Mentor junior engineers and support configuration management, verification, and validation processes.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph eligibility.
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering for defense or aerospace programs.
- Proficiency in requirements analysis, architecture development, and model‑based engineering tools.
- Strong communication skills to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
