Systems Engineer
Lead advanced systems engineering for the Department of the Air Force Battle Network, designing resilient architectures and integrating mission-critical solutions across Air, Maritime, and joint platforms.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and systems engineering for the DAF Battle Network, ensuring scalability, resilience, and interoperability across Air, Maritime, and joint platforms.
- Collaborate with the Operational Response Team (ORT) to translate mission requirements into technical solutions and validate performance through rigorous testing.
- Drive integration of new acquisitions and legacy systems, managing interfaces, configuration, and change control processes.
- Provide subject‑matter expertise on C3BM concepts, standards, and best practices to cross‑functional teams.
- Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in systems engineering within a defense or aerospace environment.
- Deep knowledge of C3BM architecture, network design, and integration methodologies.
- Proficiency in modeling tools (e.g., SysML, UML) and configuration management.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- U.S. security clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
