Lead complex avionics system design and integration for business and regional aircraft, driving performance, reliability, and compliance across hardware, software, and certification processes.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end systems engineering for avionics platforms, defining architecture, interfaces, and performance requirements.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate hardware, firmware, and software components, ensuring seamless operation in flight‑critical environments.
- Develop and maintain system models, simulations, and test plans using MATLAB/Simulink and other tools to validate design integrity.
- Drive compliance with industry standards (DO‑178C, DO‑254, RTCA DO‑178B) and regulatory requirements, preparing documentation for certification.
- Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in avionics systems engineering, with a strong background in embedded systems and flight‑control architectures.
- Proficiency in C/C++ development, Linux environments, and MATLAB/Simulink modeling.
- Deep understanding of aerospace standards (DO‑178C, DO‑254) and certification processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on schedule.
